Friends of Holliday Park

Good things come from those who give

Generous private donations to the Friends of Holliday Park resulted in construction of the state-of-the-art Nature Center, the replacement of outdated playground equipment, support to park programs about environmental education, the renovation of the Rock Garden, the introduction of the Children’s Garden and more.

Many important projects remain to be done! Please consider a gift via cash, check, credit card or stock transfer that benefits one of the following priority initiatives:

  • Holliday Park Nature Center Exhibit Hall — After eight years the exhibit hall needs updating. This very popular destination for kids needs new displays, new animals, more interactive stations and up-to-date environmental education.
  • Holliday Park Interpretive Signage — Interpretive signs are valuable, unobtrusive environmental education tools that guide and greatly enhance the visitor experience. Improved way-finding and informational signs will introduce visitors to areas of Holliday Park that may not be familiar.
  • Beautification of Park Entrances — It is time for the front perimeter of the park and the park entrances to be both an entrance to the park and an indication of what a visit can bring. A separate initiative from interpretive and way-finding signs, this effort will improve the appearance of the park and contribute to the property values in near-by neighborhoods.
  • Holliday Park Endowment — A contribution to our endowment helps ensure that Holliday Park will remain a growing, valuable community asset for generations to come. The goal is to add $112,500 to our endowment by December 31, 2009.
